About Myself
Who am I?
I've grown up in North Carolina my whole life. This has to be the best state there is. You have mountains on one end and beaches on the other. My Interest in art started when I was in elementary school in Durham, NC. I didnt really know at that time that all those scribbles on paper would evolve into a career as a designer. Photography picked up as an interest in high school when I took my first class on Black and White photography. I shoot all digital now, but I really enjoyed the the time spent in the darkrooms processing images by hand. It was always magical watching my images appear on the paper as I processed in the developing solution.
My education at Appalachian State University (ASU) in Boone, NC gave me a lot of knowledge about design. I learned the history behind graphic design, why symbols are so important, and even why choosing the right typeface is important. Through ASU came the opportunity for me to intern at the American Broadcasting Company in New York, where I did a range of artistic tasks.
I now live with my wonderful wife Heather in Monroe, NC ( just south of Charlotte, NC) with our three cats; Blackbeard, Kona, and Nilla.
